Obituary for Anna Mae Walton
Anna Mae Walton, age 87 died peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her home in Orrville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 06, 2015, 11:00 AM at the Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm St. Orrville. Pastor Mark Buchwalter will be officiating. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, OH. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 1 hour before services at the funeral home. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road,Wooster, OH 44691 in her memory. She was born August 26, 1927 in Harrison County, WV, the daughter of Andy and Maggie (Gower) Bender. She married Harold C. Walton on July 28, 1948 and he preceeded her in death on November 19, 1996. Anna was a life long resident of Orrville and had worked at Crown Steel, the J.M. Smucker Company, the Manhatten Restaurant and the Orrville Osteopathic Hospital. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and was a great Cleveland Indians Fan. Surviving her is a daughter Carol (Rich) Kaser of Shreve, a son Harold (Sharon) Walton of Orrville. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a brother-in-law Raymond Downs, and her bird "Tweety". Preceding her in death is her father, Andy C. Bender, her mother, Maggie Bender, her husband, Harold C. Walton, a sister Mary Louise Downs and a brother Harry Gene Bender.
