Obituary for Marilyn A. Polivka
Marilyn A. Polivka, age 86 died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Smithville Western Care center after a recent surgery. A memorial services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013, 12:00 AM at the Christ United Church of Christ, Orrville. Rev. Randy Gehres will be officiating. As was her wish, cremation has taken place.l There will be no calling hours.The family suggest that memorials be directed to th Orrville Christ United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 301 N. Main Street, Orrville, Oh 44667. She was born October 17, 1927 in Orrville, OH on the family farm, the daughter of John and N. Amanda (Martin) LeFever. She married George Polivka on March 22, 1970 and he preceded her in death in 1986. Marilyn attended Orrville schools and was a graduate of Orrville High School class of 1946. She was employed by the Orrville Bedding Company, Polivka Music Co, and the Wayne County Recorders Office. Marilyn was a volunteer with Dunlap Hospital Women's Auxiliary and was a long time member of Eastern Stars and served as a Worthy Matron. She was also a member the Orrville Christ United Church of Christ and Medina Congregational Church. Surviving are her sister, Ellen (Bruce) Evans of Merrimac, MA. And brother, Lester (Patricia) LeFever of Smithville, and a sister-in-law, Phyllis LeFever of Orrville; eight nieces and newphews,19 great nieces and nephews and a great, great niece and nephew. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Chester (Mike) LeFever and a sister Norma LeFever both of Orrville, and infants Hanna and Austin Czako of Galena, OH
