Obituary for Loretta (Burkey) Patrosky
Loretta (Wingerter) Burkey-Patrosky, age 100, died on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville after an extended period of declining health. A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012, 11:00 AM at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville. Pastor Ramsey Wallace will be officiating. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery . There will be no calling hours. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd.,Wooster, OH 44691 in her memory. She was born September 27, 1911 in Akron, OH, the daughter of Theodore and Rozella (McCormick) Wingerter. She attended Orrville schools and graduated Orrville High School in 1929. Loretta married Loren Burkey, her first husband, and they were blessed a family of four children. Loren died in 1959 and she met and married Walter Patrosky and he died in 1976. She was a homemaker and a life long resident of Orrville. Loretta lived at Brenn-Field for the last nine years. Surviving are daughters Sharon (Nevin) Grosjean of Orrville, Anita Shidler of Wooster, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and brothers Howard Wingerter of Orrville and Glenn Wingerter of Haines City, FL. Preceding her in death are her husbands Loren Burkey and Walter Patrosky, sons John and Tom Burkey, brother Roy Wingerter and son in law Jay Shidler.
