Obituary for Faith G. Snyder
Faith G. Snyder, age 91, died on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster,OH surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 02, 2010, 1:30 PM at the Smithville Brethren Church, 241 E. Main St. Smithville, OH. Rev. Art Carr will be officiating. Burial will be at the Sherwood Memorial Garden in Wooster, OH. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, 11:30 - 1:30 at the church prior to services. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of Great Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd.,Wooster, OH 44691 in her memory. She was born September 24, 1919 in Rittman, Ohio, the daughter of Lester and Martha (Berger) Beery. She married Edwin Snyder on November 4, 1944 and he died April 23, 1997. She attended Doylestown schools and graduated in the Class of 1936. Faith was an active longtime member of Marshallville United Methodist Church and later attended the Smithville Brethren Church where she was activity in many church functions. She enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles, crocheting and especially playing cards with her friends. Faith enjoyed her time with her family and grandchildren who were the center her of life. Surviving her are sons Allen (Janet) Snyder of Smithville, Gerald (Donna) Snyder of Orrville, William (Phyllis) Snyder of Smithville, a daughter Donna (Jim) Simmons of Perry, OH, grandchildren Jeff (Deanna) Snyder, Mark (Sarah) Snyder, Bethany Snyder, Jenny (Ken) Kuhns, Sarah Zoker, Judy (Ken) Sanchez, Rita (David) Arnholt, Becky (Jon) Hofstetter, Carrie (Chris) Kline, Jim Jr. (Kathy) Simmons, Heather(Louis) Russo, Christopher (Vanessa) Meredith, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Mary (bob) Brooker and Colleen (Clarence) Weaver and sister in law Betty Beery. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edwin Snyder, sister Helen Ault and brother Vernon Beery.
