Obituary for Clarice Roselene "Rose" Westfall
-- Clarice Roselene “Rose” Westfall, age 74, a devoted and loving wife, mother and mamaw went home to be with the Lord on Monday August 9th 2017 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017, 11:00 AM at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville. Mike Lemar will be officiating. Burial will be at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster, OH.
Friends and relatives will be received by the family one hour prior to services on Thursday.
The family suggests that friends may make a donation to a charity of the donor’s choice
in her memory.
Rose was born on September 28th1943, in Falls View West Virginia, the seventh of nine children of Harry and Clara (Hypes) Walker. Rose grew up in Clay County West Virginia where she graduated from high school in 1962. While in high school Rose met John Westfall and they married shortly after her graduation in June of 1962 while John was serving in the US Navy. After John’s discharge from service they moved to Orrville, Ohio in 1965 where they have lived and raised their family ever since. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Rittman, Ohio.
Rose leaves behind her husband John and two children Beth (Todd) Gessel of Smithville Ohio, and Jay (Suzanne) Westfall of Lancaster, Ohio. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren Megan Carillon, Claire, Abby, Lily, Harry Westfall, and Mckayla (Bryan) McCanna, Jenna Gessel and Kristopher Gessel. She also leaves behind her brother Gary (Shirley) Walker, and sisters Jean (Shorty) Dorsey, Janice (Jim) Fitzwater and Jane (Larry) Cottrell as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents as well as her brother David Walker, Don (Marie) Walker and Rex (Gladys) Walker and sister Patsy (Bob) Dorsey. Rose attended Calvary Baptist Church in Rittman, Ohio.
