Obituary for Dorothy J Conrad
Dorothy June Conrad passed peacefully from her earthly home into her heavenly one on Dec. 17, 2020 at JAG Healthcare in Orrville.

She was born to Maurice and Ethel (Culler) Conrad on June 26, 1930 in Wooster, Ohio. Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Sterling High School and worked in the office of PCA for almost 30 years. She was a member of Rural Youth, served as a recorder for the horse pull at the Wayne County Fair, belonged to the Swing-A-Lings Square Dancers, and attended Grace Church in Wooster.

Dorothy loved to move—whether on the golf course, in the water (she was a certified life guard), or on the dance floor (enjoying both round and square dancing). She also had a special place in her heart for her 4-legged friends.

Fond memories of Dorothy will include her use of green ink on all correspondence, a two-dollar bill tucked into cards for her nieces and nephews, a never ending supply of her delicious sour cream coffee cake, and especially her fierce loyalty to her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant sister, sisters Nina Shearer and Janet Steiner, nephews Rod, Mark and Chad Steiner, sister-in-law Lucille Conrad and brother-in-law Donald Shearer. Surviving to cherish her memory are a brother James Conrad of Marshallville, a sister Phyllis (William) Haskins of Orrville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, there will be no memorial services and private burial will take place.

The family would like to thank the staff of JAG for the outstanding care and love shown to Dorothy. She will be missed.
