Shirley M. Royer, age 84, died on Thursday August 13, 2015 at Windsor House near Warren after a period of declining health. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015, 11:00 AM at the Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm St. Orrville, OH. Burial will be at the East Chippewa Cemetery near Orrville, OH. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, 1 hour before services at the funeral home. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to Smithville Brethren Memorial Fund, 241 E. Main Street, Smithville, OH 44677 in her memory. She was born October 05, 1930 in Sugar Creek, OH, the daughter of Clarence and Florence (Jeandrevin) Schindler. She married Dale E. Royer Royer on July 25, 1954. Shirley lived much of her life in Orrville where she worked as a housekeeper for various families including Gresser Funeral Home. She was a member of the Smithville Brethren Church in Smithville. Surviving are sisters Joyce (Bill) List of West Farmington, Jean Stanley of Sugarcreek Sister in law Nancy Schindler of Dover and many nieces and nephews and friends In addition to parents preceded in death by husband Dale Royer, a brother John (Hans) Schindler of Dover and brother in law Clifford Royer
