Obituary for Ruth E. Ferrebee
Ruth Ellen Ballard Ferrebee, age 75, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023.
Family and friends may pay respects during a memorial service on April 14, 2023 from 5 pm to 7pm at Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm Street, Orrville, Ohio 44667. A small family service will follow on April 15, 2023 at 1pm at the Forks of Coal Cemetery in Alum Creek, West Virginia.

Ruth was born on December 15, 1947, in Fenwick, West Virginia. She graduated from South Charleston high school. Following graduation, Ruth spent many years working in hospitals and nursing homes, helping to care for others. She lived and worked in Orrville, Ohio and the surrounding areas before recently relocating to Westerville, Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, reading, going to yard sales, and spending time with her friends and family. Ruth was an extremely proud grandmother and found so much joy in watching her six grandchildren grow and succeed in life. She will be remembered as a kind and loving person who always made time to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her daughter Edna (Steve) Moore of Westerville, Ohio, son David (Sue) Ferrebee of Hartville, Ohio, grandsons: Landen Ferrebee, Matt Corlett, Logen Ferrebee, and Andrew Moore, granddaughters: Abby Corlett and Katelyn Ferrebee, sister Violet (Doris) Walls, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her father Clarence Ballard, mother Suda Hill Ballard, and brother David Ballard.
