Obituary for Pauline Schrock
Pauline Schrock, age 93, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Brenn-Field Nursing Center after a brief period of declining health. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 01, 2012, 11:00 AM at the Crown Hill Mennonite Church, 9693 Benner Rd. Rittman, OH. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Smithville, OH. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 9:30 to 11:00 at the Crown Hill Mennonite Church prior to services. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to Crown Hill Menn. Church Building Fund, 9693 Benner Road ,Rittman, OH 44270 in her memory. She was born February 15, 1919 at Smithville, OH, the daughter of John and Cora (Berkey) Liechty. She was married to N.Wilmer Schrock and he died on May 12, 1965. Pauline grew up outside of Orrville and graduated from Smithville High School. She went on to Goshen College where she received her teaching degree. Pauline taught school at Sterling from 1941-42, in Orrville from 1942-45 and retired from Green Local Schools in 1985 after 20 years of service. She had lived and worked on the family fruit farm where she and Wilmer raised their family of five children. Pauline was a member of Oak Grove Mennonite and most recently Crown Hill Mennonite near Rittman. Surviving are sons Tim Schrock of Adrian, Oregon, J. Thomas (Ruth) Schrock of Goshen, IN, P.David (Melissa) Schrock of Orrville and a daughter Joanna (Duane) Swartley of Harrisonburgh, VA. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Wilmer Schrock, a daughter, Margaret Schrock and brother John H. Liechty.
