Obituary for Myron "Sonny" Werntz Jr.
Myron (Sonny) Werntz Jr, age 77,formerly of Marshallville, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Aultman Hospital in Canton,OH. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 25, 2012, 11:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fulton Rd. Marshallville, OH. Pastor John Miller will be officiating. . Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012, 7 to 9 pm at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville. He was born April 13, 1935 at Marshallville, Ohio, the son of Myron and Neomia (Reed) Werntz. Sonny attended Marshallville, Dalton and Smithville Schools. He worked as a lumber scaler at Etling Window and Louisiana-Pacific in Orrville. Sonny also worked for Hall Paving, John Most Paving, Koppers Co. and retired from Orrville Products. Sonny enjoyed car racing, Blue Grass Music, participating in turkey shoots and was an avid euchre player. Surviving are Wanda Craft of Wooster, Rodney Werntz of Dalton, Joyce (Rick) Mosher, Brenda Werntz, Todd (Julie) Werntz, all of Orrville and Tamara Werntz of Smithville. Also surviving are grandchildren Ryan (Brandi) Maibach, Matthew Mosher, Krisen (Ryan) Beichler, Stephanie Mosher, Rodney Joseph (Stephanie) Werntz, Sarah Werntz (Doug McGuire), Greg Mosher, Courtney Pumhrey, Eric Gravius, Christina Pumphrey, Brandon Werntz, Marissa Werntz, Carissa Yungen, Adam Werntz and great-grandchildren Talon and Colin Beichler, Sophia and Anthony Werntz and Gracelin McGuire and a brother Jerry (Sue) Werntz of Strausburgh and former wife Judith Werntz. Preceding him in death are his parents Myron and Neomia Werntz, brother Karl Werntz and a son, Randall Werntz.
