Obituary for Lyn A. Fitzsimmons
Lyn Ann Fitzsimmons, age 49, went home to be with the Lord after a 33 year battle with kidney disease, MS, and other health issues. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 02, 2015, 11:00 AM at the Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm St. Orrville. Pastor Geno Colarusso will be officiating. Burial will be in Newman Creek Cemetery, North Lawrence. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, 10-11:00 AM before services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to LifeCare Hospice of Wooster, or The Kidney Foundation of Wayne County. She was born in Orrville on February 22, 1966 to Robert and Annie (Britton) Fitzsimmons. Lyn attended Orrville High School, and the University of Akron. She attended Northview Alliance Church in Wooster. Lyn worked as a CRA Underwriter at First Merit Mortgage Corporation. Lyn loved spending time with family, and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies, The Waltons, cooking shows, and crocheting blankets for her family. She always had a smile and encouraging words for others, even when her health was poor. Lyn enjoyed all animals but especially her dogs Fox and Tess. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Annie (Britton) Fitzsimmons of Orrville, siblings Lee (Jackie) Fitzsimmons of Wooster, Kelly (David) Hochstetler of Wooster, Kristy Fitzsimmons of Orrville, beloved nephews Sean Fitzsimmons, Evan Hochstetler, and beloved niece Emma Hochstetler. Lyn loved her friends Addie and Emily Wharton as if they were her own nieces.
