Obituary for Linda M. Potter
Linda M. Potter, age 72, of Orrville passed away January 6, 2023 after a period of declining health.
She was born in Bradford, PA. the daughter of the late Harold L. and Maragret J. (Louk) Noyes on August 24, 1950. She graduated from Bradford High School on June 5, 1968 and married her husband late Arthur R. Potter three days later on June 8, 1968. They lived in Pennsylvania, Germany, and Colorado before settling in Ohio. They had three sons and she is survived by two.
She previously worked at Nichol’s Department Store as a cashier, H&R Block as a tax preparer, Potter and Sons as a bookkeeper, and volunteered with AARP to do tax returns for the elderly. She was a member of the Orrville Baptist Church and loved volunteering and bringing her grandbabies there. She loved going to different church activities with other ladies from the church, crafting, and collecting cats both real, glass, ceramic, and stuffed.
She is survived by two sons Robert A. and Paula R. Potter of Kingsport, TN and Ryan A. and Carissa L. Potter of Akron, OH. ; six grandchildren Bradley D. Potter of North Canton, OH; Brendan A. and Breonna A. Potter of Akron, OH; Brady A., Brycen C. and Brynlee R. Potter of Kingsport, TN.; and a sister Sandra Raught of Wooster, OH.
She was preceded in death by her son Richard A. Potter; her father Harold L. Noyes; her husband Arthur R. Potter; and her mother Maragret J. (Louk) Noyes.
Calling hours will be held at the Orrville Baptist Church 204 Bell Avenue Orrville, OH on January 13, 2023 from 12-2 with funeral services starting at 2 pm with Pastor Brad Dews officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Creek Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
