Obituary for Lester J. LeFever
Lester J. LeFever, age 87 passed away on Wednesday, September 07, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital in Wooster.

A memorial service is planned for 11am on Saturday, September 17th at Christ United Church of Christ, 301 North Main Street in Orrville. Rev. Randy Gehres will be officiating. Friends may visit with family an hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests that friends may make a donation to Christ United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 201 N. Main St.,Orrville, OH 44667 in his memory.

Born on the family farm in Orrville Ohio, on October 30, 1928 to John and Nancy (Martin) LeFever, Lester graduated from Orrville High School. Several years later he was drafted into the US Army during the time of the Korean conflict, and attained the rank of Master Sargent. Lester graduated from Ohio Northern University, and had a 40-year career as a pharmacist with most of that time spent with S. H. Boyd & Co in Wooster, where he was also a partner.
In 1955, “Les” married Patricia Jean Dietrick, and they made their home in the Smithville area. He was active in many organizations with 30 years as a 4-H leader; a long time member on Wayne County Farm Bureau, Council 6; a Mason of Cedar Lodge of Orrville; and a 32nd Degree Mason –AASR Valley of Canton. A life member of Christ United Church of Christ, Mr. LeFever served as a deacon, an elder, and on the consistory board.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, Les is survived by children, Karl (LouAnn) LeFever, and Sean (Karen) Donley of Wooster; and John (Carrie) LeFever of Orrville. There are 10 grandchildren: Matt (Amanda) LeFever, Katherine LeFever; Michaela Donley, Zach Donley, Mack Donley; Lester(Ashley) LeFever II, Amanda LeFever, Josh LeFever, Rachael LeFever, and Rochelle LeFever. Four great-grandchildren: Lucas, Bryce, and Charlotte LeFever; and Cael LeFever; as well as brother-in-law, Bruce Evans, of Merrimac MA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Marilyn (George) Polivka; twin brother Chester (Phyllis) LeFever; Norma LeFever; and Ellen Evans.
