Obituary for Kathryn Ramseyer
Kathryn Ramseyer, age 89, died on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Apostolic Christian Home near Rittman, OH. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013, 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7605 Pleasant Home Road, Sterling, OH 44276. Burial will be at church cemetery immediately following services. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013, 6-8 PM at the Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm Street., Orrville. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Missions, 7605 Pleasant Home Road, Sterling, OH 44276 or the Apostolic Christian Home 10680 Steiner Road, Rittman, OH 44270 in her memory She was born January 23, 1924, in southern Ohio, the daughter of Raymond & Lillian (Lengacher) Truex. She married Roy E. Ramseyer in 1945. Kathryn loved Jesus & served her family as homemaker & caregiver. She was an avid cook who routinely delivered meals to friends with need, & had been active in the church and quilting group. She enjoyed spending time with family and visiting friends, and going out to eat. Kathryn is survived by Roy, her husband of 68 years, and is the mother of seven children: Myron (Myrna) of Sterling, Robert deceased, John (Martha) of Sterling, David deceased, Jane (Jay) Lehman of Orrville, Dean of Orrville, & Eric (Roxie) of Dalton. Also surviving are a sister, Leona Armbrust, 20 grandchildren & 28 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother Harold Truex, and two sons.
