She was born July 13, 1942 to Arthur and Zola (Gray) Stevens in Ashland Ohio. She was a 1960 Graduate of Ashland High School. Kathryn married the love of her life Reverend Jerry Stroud on May 11, 1963. Grandchildren Ashley (John) McCormick, Emily Stroud, Zachary McCartney, Hayley Edington and Kaitlyn DeBoard and one adorable great- granddaughter Molly McCormick.
Joanne as she was known by her friends and family was a wonderful homemaker, wife, Mom, Grandma and friend. She loved her family and friends. She always had a smile and truly enjoyed helping anyone in need. She loved her Lord and Savior and served many years as a devoted Pastors wife, Sunday school and Children’s Church Director as well as Missionary President for her church. Her life was a living testimony of her Christian faith. She loved family gatherings, reading, doing craft projects, and painting. She also loved spending time with her husband Jerry of 54 years, whether it was taking walks, eating out at KFC or one of their other favorite spots, feeding the ducks, or just hanging out at home, they truly had a storybook love and honored each other and their marriage vows. Joanne spent many years working outside the home, from being a Teacher’s Aide, a Buehler’s Bakery worker to working in Domestics at Wal-Mart. She was a people person and it really showed in her work.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Arthur and Zola Stevens, Sister Beryl Null and Brother Skip Stevens.
