Obituary for Kathleen Ann Gresser
Kathleen Ann Gresser, age 91, died Friday, June 28 in Orrville after a period of declining health.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral at 1 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm St. Orrville. Elmer Baer will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Marshallville, OH. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers friends may make a donation to Aultman Orrville Hospital Auxiliary, 832 South Main Street, Orrville, OH 44667 or LifeCare Hospice,

She was born January 6, 1928 in Marshallville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Iva (Miller) Baer and was a longtime resident of Orrville. She married Robert Gresser on June 24, 1950 and was happily married for over 65 years. Kathleen graduated from Dalton High School and attended nursing school at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
In addition to raising four children, Kathleen was an active member of the community. She worked at Crown Steel products, sold real estate for various organizations throughout the years and worked along side her husband and son at Gresser Funeral Home. She volunteered many years at Dunlap Hospital Auxiliary and as a 4-H leader, and was an active member of the Orrville Garden and book clubs. Kathleen was an avid gardener and enjoyed genealogy, cooking/catering and traveling. She and Bob shared many trips with the Leica Camera Society including traveling to the Leica headquarters in Wetzhar, Germany.
Surviving Kathleen are her son Jon (Deb) Gresser of Orrville, and daughters: Joan (Jim ) Gampetro of Buffalo, WY, Jane Stoelk Frazer of Dublin, OH, Jan (John) Shutway of Urbana, OH; grandchildren: Erin (Gresser) & Michael Downs, Elle (Gresser) & Justin Shumney, John and Jim Gampetro, Jennifer (Gampetro) Graslie, Steven and Lauren Stoelk, Raymond and Liza Shutway; and great-grandchildren: Tolin and Jaxon Clark, Luke and Logan Shumney, Hayden, Xander, Marrianna, Jack and Joseph Gampetro, and Caleb Graslie.
Kathleen was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert and grandson, Tony Shutway.
