Obituary for Josephine A. Stoll
-- Josephine Ann Stoll, age 83, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at home with her family by her side.

A celebration of life will be held in Jo’s honor at the Marshallville community building Thursday, May 26, 2022 on Thursday May 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Cremation has taken place.

The family suggests that friends may direct memorial donations to Absolute Hospice, 7171 Keck Circle NW, North Canton, OH 44720 in her memory.

She was born June 17, 1938 in Akron, OH the daughter of John and Verna (Batche) Benak. She graduated from Doylestown High School in 1956. Jo married Richard Stoll on March 2, 1957 by Father Michael Rapack at St. Nichols Greek Catholic Church in Barberton. Jo retired from the Marshallville Equity after 32 years of service and was employed by the J.M Smucker in previous years.
She enjoyed her flower garden, camping, traveling, and playing cards. She was a member of a girl’s euchre club for 50 years. In her younger years traveled to Hawaii, Europe and took many weekend bus trips with her friend Millie. Rich and Jo took trips out west, Florida, and South Carolina and their children gave them a cruise for their 50th anniversary. She really enjoyed boating and camping at Salt Fork State Parks especially when the grand children were young.
Jo was active in the Marshallville Historical Society, helping her husband put on two shows each year. She made the Marshallville Bean Soup for many years and she and Rich gave out free hot dogs and drinks on “Trick or Treat Night” in town for 20 years. She was also an active blood donor for many years.
Surviving are her husband Richard of 65 years, Jennifer (Michael) Most and Julie Stoll of Marshallville, Angie (Chris) Wilds of Orrville, Kathy (Doug) Hunter of Rittman, Richard Stoll Jr. of Wooster and Fred Stoll(Cheryl) of Cambridge. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren, a sister Carol Cunningham (Ed Burke) of Seneca Lake and a brother Jeff (Mary) Benak of Tennessee.
Jo is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Tom (Margaret) Benak.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the outstanding personal and loving care that was to Jo from Absolute Hospice and her caregivers: Jeanine, Lori, Amber, Erika and Elise.
