-- Henry H. Smith Jr., age 71, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones, at Hospice of Medina County Western Reserve in Medina OH.
Henry became ill in May 2021 and battled pain and was bedridden the rest of his life on Earth. He is now in Heaven pain-free and walking with his mom, family and friends who arrived there before him.
They are Katherine Smith (mother), Kathleen Smith (niece), Becky Smith-Anderson (great niece), Dick Buhite (brotherÂin-law), Henry Smith Sr (father) and countless others.
Henry loved the family and friends he left behind and treasured his relationship with each one.
They are Kimberly Humes (life partner of 28 years) of Sterling, sister Sue Denning of Norton, brother Jesse (Cathy) Smith of Wadsworth, sister Eva Buhite of Medina, sister Linda Demiter (Charlie Nixon) of Creston, Kay Smith-Campbell (Jeff) his niece of Carrollton, who helped her Uncle Henry during his time of need with extreme love and care, and Debbie Smith (niece) of Wadsworth. Henry is also survived by many great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends who he loved dearly, two step-children and 4 step-grandchildren (he shared with Kim).
The family wishes to thank Rosie and Brett Stillman (friends) for the love and care they gave to Henry throughout his illness.
Henry is truly missed. He was a fisherman and had a heart for his pet dogs and cats he had throughout his life. His smile lit up a room and he will live in all of our hearts forever.

Ther will be a graveside service on Saturday April 29, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery pavilion at the corner of Beck Street and Prospect Street in Wadsworth officiated by Zack Humes. Following the service, there will be a luncheon at 11:oo AM at Crossroads Church, 1055 Reimer Road, Wadsworth, oh.
