Obituary for Harry I. Carr
Harry I. Carr, age 83 died on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Autumnwood Nursing Center in Rittman, Ohio.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017, 9:30 AM at the Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. Military honors will be observed.
Per his wishes there will be no viewing. The family suggests that friends in lieu of flowers friends may make a donation to American Legion 282 or V.F.W 3446 both in Orrville or a charity of their choice in his memory.
He was born to Nathan Goff and Effie Ann (Green) Carr on May16, 1934 in Calhoun County W.Va. He Married Frances DeWalt on April 10, 1961. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2016.
Harry proudly served in the U.S. Army being Honorably Discharged in 1958. He retired from Technocast Foundry and its many predecessors in 1999.
He is survived by sons Randal (Donna) of Orrville, David (Angela) of Dalton and a Daughter Michelle (Josh) Wright of Orrville, one granddaughter, three Grandsons, and five Great-Grandkids and a sister Betty Gibson of Chloe,W.Va and Special Friends Phyllis Parker and Al Westfall.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, Chester and Charles and a sister Madline McGeorge.
