Obituary for Florence E. West
Florence E. West, age 99, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Burbank Parke Nursing Center in Burbank, Ohio after a period of declining health. A private family memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville. Rev. David Kowaleski will be officiating. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, OH. There will be no calling hours or visitation. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that friends may make a donation to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Suite E,Green, OH 44685 in her memory. She was born November 06, 1911 near Riceland in East Union Twshp, OH, the daughter of Vernon and Charlotte E. (Rydle) Byall. She married Lloyd J. West on October 10, 1930 and he died March 21, 2000. Florence was a life long resident of Orrville, attended Orrville schools and worked at Goodyear Aircraft in Akron, Schantz Organ, The Hagan Company, both on Orrville, and Barney Lehmans in Wooster. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Orrville and Eastern Star. Florence also enjoyed collecting antiques and was an antique dealer. Surviving her are sons Walter and Pat West of Orrville, OH and Richard and Carol West of Lagrange, OH, 10 grandchildren, 21 great, grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd West and 8 brothers and sisters.
