Evelyn Pauline Bendot, age 99 died on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton,. �� Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 05, 2015, 11:00 AM at the St. ��Agnes Catholic Church, East Oak Street, Orrville, OH. Father Ronald J. Turek will be officiating. ��Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville following services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015, 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Gresser Funeral Home prior to services. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to St. ��Agnes Catholic Church, East Oak Street, Orrville, OH 44667 in her memory. She was born November 29, 1915 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, the daughter of Charles E. and Philomina (Lower) Welsh. The family moved to Orrville in 1927. She is a graduated from Orrville High School in 1933. She graduated from Massillon Commercial Institute in 1934. She was employed in the Office of Orrville Milk Condensery for four years. She married John A. Bendot on June 8, 1939, at St. Agnes Catholic Church and was a resident of Pittsburgh PA until 1973. A charter member and past president of Woman's Club of Wilkins Twp., Pittsburgh. She was a Girl Scout leader and served as district vice president and corresponding secretary for Allegheny County Federation of Woman's Clubs. She traveled the tri-state area presenting a program entitled "Buggies and Bonnets", a history of the Amish of OH. In 1973, she moved to Clearwater, Fl. She was a member of Pinecrest Golf Club, Largo Fl for 10 years; a member of Woman's Club of Clearwater and recording secretary. ��In 2003 Evelyn returned to Orrville and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her husband, John who died on August 11, 1992, brothers Donald, Glen, James and infant Ralph Welsh and sister Dorothy Welsh.
