Obituary for Elizabeth Owolabi
Elizabeth Oluwafunmilayo Gloria Owolabi, an ASL interpreter and resident of Washington DC passed away on April 5, 2023 at the age of 41.
Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Sheila Owolabi, and her brothers, Sam Owolabi and Dan Owolabi (Erica). She is preceded by her father, Tim Owolabi.
Elizabeth was born on December 5, 1981 in Oregon. She graduated from Central Christian High School in 2000, and Gallaudet University in 2019 with a BA of Interpretation. Elizabeth loved singing, art, and was a dedicated sister, daughter, aunt, girlfriend, friend and neighbor. She was a strong advocate for the Deaf Community of greater Washington DC, and in Nigeria. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her friends, family, coworkers, and everyone who knew her.
A memorial service and time of sharing with the family is scheduled for 5 PM on May 2, 2023 at the Orrville Mennonite Church, 1305 W. Market Street, Orrville, OH
