E. Dolores Galehouse, 94, passed away on December 28, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born on April 20, 1926 to the late Fred L. and Velma (Ault) Geiser and lived most of her life in Marshallville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth M. Galehouse , son Robert Galehouse, and siblings Bess Musser, Ethel Immel, Anne Forbes, and Russell Geiser.
She is survived by daughter Sue Hayes, son Tom (Crystal) Galehouse; grandchildren Andrea (Alex) Barnes, Rob Galehouse, Laurel (Jered) Rich, Katie (Rob) Jernigan, Rick (Catherine) Hayes, Brian Tomassetti, Joe (Susan) Tomassetti, Kate (Justin) Plant; great grandchildren Gus Barnes, Janelle Rich, Brandon, Cole, and Chase Tomassetti, Nate West, Jake and Annie Hayes; nephew, nieces, and cousins.
Dolores was a woman of strong faith in God and lived daily with Jesus in her heart. She would spend time every day reading her Bible and studying devotionals. She had always loved gardening and flower arranging and was a member of Marshallville Garden Club for 60 years. She loved music and played her CD’s nearly every day. She enjoyed working puzzles and chatting with her friends in her apartment building. She kept herself informed of current events and was always willing to share her opinions on them with family and friends.
Whenever you were around Dolores, her light of love for you was shining brightly. She was a good listener, truly caring what you had to say. Her kind words of comfort and encouragement were offered when needed and her love for life was evident in her smile and laughter.
Our dear Dolores will be truly missed, but each one of us has been blessed by her love. Her last words: “Just Believe”.
The family extends a thank you to the medical staff at Aultman Orrville hospital for their kindness and care the last three days of her life.
A private family grave side service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Marshallville. There will be no calling hours or visitation.
