They returned to Wooster to begin their family, and she became a homemaker. She was a member of East Union Lutheran Church, its Missionary Society, and was organist there for many years. She instilled a love for music and books in all her children. Surviving her is husband Herman, children Mary (Jerry Rockwell), Frederick, Elizabeth, Timothy and Peter Lautzenheiser.
