Obituary for Carl J. Conrad
Carl Jacob Conrad, aged 92, passed from this world to his heavenly
Father on Sunday morning, June 4, 2023, after a brief illness. He is survived
by his wife, Brigitte (Dyck) Conrad. Carl was a life-long member of Oak
Grove Mennonite Church.
He served with PAX (Peace Corps), Mennonite Disaster Service, Meat
canings, and helped document many grave sites. He enjoyed helping
others, farming, and working around the church.
He is survived by his sister, Annebelle (Gerald) Hughes. His children
are Marianna (Michael) Purinton of Arizona, John (Barb) Conrad of Orrville,
Ruth (Ron) Albright of Colorado, and Samuel (Crystal) Conrad of Orrville.
Carl had 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grand
children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Sadie (Smith)
Conrad, sisters Mary (David) Robinson, Hettie (Willard) Conrad, and brother
Bob Conrad.
Services will be held at Oak Grove Mennonite Church at 11am on
Saturday June 17th. Visitation begins 10am with a luncheon following.
