Obituary for Anna M. Roth
---- Anna M. Roth, 93, passed away Thursday September 19, 2019, at Glendora Nursing Home in Wooster after a period of declining health.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, East Oak Street, Orrville, with Father Ronald J. Turek as celebrant. Burial will be at East Chippewa Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Chippewa Road, Orrville. With visitation one hour before the funeral at Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm St., Orrville. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Glendora Health Care Center or Lifecare Hospice.
Anna was born April 7, 1926, in Barberton OH, the daughter of Steve and Mary (Homovich) Mellich. They later moved to Rittman OH. Anna attended Rittman Schools, and worked at Morton Salt. Anna married Glenn Roth on June 30, 1951. They moved to the Smithville area where they raised their family. Anna retired from the Green Local School system where she worked as head cook in the middle school cafeteria. Anna enjoyed many hobbies such as baking, sewing, and painting. She was a participant in the Wayne County Fair for many years. Anna was a loving and caring person and a friend to everyone she met. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Mary) Roth and Jeff Roth, both of Smithville. Sisters, Margret Benak of Doylestown, Mary Jane Hunt from North Carolina, and brother Steven Mellich from Washinton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, sister Juliann Duskey, and brother George Mellich.
