Alton “Ross” Leach, age 88 died on Wednesday, November 09, 2022 after a period of declining health.
Private family services will be held at Smithville Cemetery. Paster James Lance will be officiating.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that friends may make a donation to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster OH 44691 in his memory.
He was born January 27, 1934 in Sterling, Ohio, the son of Owen E. and Mary H. (Wald) Leach. He was married 68 years to Donna M. (Woods) Leach.
Throughout his career, he worked 20 years for Orrville Milk and drove truck for Len Arnold and Manfredi. In 1970, he owned and operated the Gulf Station in Orrville and in 1977 he opened Leach's Garage on the Back Orrville Road.
He is survived by three children Ron (Deb) Leach of Wooster, Deb Zimmerman of Wooster and Diana (Randy) Ogden, of Wooster. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Chad (Patti) Zimmerman, Chris (Rachel) Leach, Timothy (Jamie) Leach, Stacy (Somendra) Kahatapitiya, Adam (Marie) Leach, Stephenie (Eric) Peters, Melissa (Brice) Koch and 19 great grandchildren: Brayden, Taylor, Jordan, Jace, Austin, Mason, Jayden, Kendall, Logan K., Addison, Garrett, Konner, Logan L.. Brooklynn, Carson, Sydney, Olivia, Jaxson
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Donna Leach, a son in law Gary Zimmerman and a great granddaughter Rozlynn Peters
