Obituary for Wallace W. Burt Jr.
Wallace William Burt, Jr., 95, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his brother, his son and his daughter-in-law on May 15, 2018.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home, 415 N. Elm Street, Orrville, Ohio 44667. A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, July 21, at 10 a.m. in the chapel, followed by interment, at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.

Wallace served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and served on D-Day at Utah Beach. He worked for more than 40 years for Western Electric in various cities of Ohio and in later years in California. He enjoyed his retirement by playing golf, shoveling snow and cutting the grass. He enjoyed all the teasing he could give to his grandchildren and nieces and nephews
He was the loving father of Kathleen (Todd) Postance, Wallace (Linda) Burt III, Charles (Geri) Burt, and Jennifer (James) Donohue. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Christian (Maria) Postance, Benjamin (Pauline Hwang) Postance, Kristin Burt, Ryan Burt, Charles (Emily) Burt, Sarah (Brandon) German, Victoria Burt, Corinne Donohue, Ian Donohue, Jon and Mandi McDonald, Matt and Brandi Antalvari, Daniel and Danielle McDonald; his great-grandchildren: Liam, Brady, Beckett, William, Dustin, Sylus, Cecil, Freyja, Ethan, Emily, Katie, Mollie, Josh, Maddie, Zachary, Eve, Phoenix, Paizleigh and Phox; his 12 Burt nieces & nephews and his five Bertolo nieces and nephews.
Wallace was the eldest of the Burt siblings:Phyllis (the late Frank) Jarke, Ronald (the late Jeannette) and Ruth (Thomas) Hoesman.
Wallace was predeceased by his parents - Wallace Burt, Sr. and Ruth (Hofflick) Burt; his wife of 21 years - Delores Audrianna (Bertolo) Burt; his niece - Caroline Marie (Jim) Kornelakis ; his nephew – Burt Jon Jarke; his sister Shirley Allyne (the late Jack) Pettit; and his grandson - Jared William (Nancy Medeiros) Postance.
