Obituary for Russell R. Pingley
Russell Ray Pingley Sr., age 71 of Millersburg, died Thursday, May 26th 2016 surrounded by his family at Aultman Hospital, Canton after a brief illness.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday May 31, 2016, 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville with Rev. Gary Dehart officiating. Immediate following the graveside, a memorial service will be held at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Burton City east of Orrville with the public invited.
Russell was born May 24th, 1945 in Norton, WV to Enoch and Monna (Channell-McClanahan) Pingley. Russell had worked at the Quality Castings Co. in Orrville until his retirement.
Surviving in addition to his former spouses, Barbara J. (White) Pingley of Orrville and Michelle (Gerber) Pingley of Millersburg are children, Russell "Ray" (Samantha Obenauer) Pingley Jr. of Orrville, Diana (Neuenschwander) Pingley of Wooster, Roy (Donna Salvaggio) Pingley of Holly Springs NC and Jason Brooks of Millersburg.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Nicole (Cory) Cecil of Wooster, Ashley Pingley of Orrville, Brandis Pingley (Kyle Mcafee)of Ashland, Brianna (Ryan) Opliger of Wooster, Cameron Pingley (Hope Tomion)of Orrville, Corey and Taryn Pingley of Holly Springs NC, Makayla Obenauer-Pingley of Orrville, Ricky and Reilly Guerra of Millersburg and Sosha and Warner Brooks of Millersburg and great-grandchildren Rylee Shallenberger, Kyler and Lylah Opliger, Jaxon Mcafee and Wyatt Cecil, sisters, Edith Abbott of Canton and Mabel (Leon) Shiflett of Norton, WV and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Chad Paul Barnett, granddaughter Paisley-Rae Pingley, daughter Tawni Brooks Guerra, father Roe McClanahan, 5 sisters and 2 brothers
