Obituary for Mae E. Shiflett
Mae E. Shiflett, age 81 passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, Ohio after an extended. Graveside services were held Friday, January 29, 2016, 12:45 PM at the Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. Shiflett Family members officiated. Burial was at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. The family suggests that friends may make a donation to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road,Wooster, OH 44691 in her memory. Mae was born November 07, 1934 in Huttonsville, WV, the daughter of Delmar and Naomi (Wilson) Ware. She attended Tygart Valley High School in Mill Creek W.V.in 1952, and married Ronald E. Shiflett and together they moved to Orrville, OH. Mrs. Shiflett worked at the J.M. Smucker Co. for 32 years, retiring in 2003. Mae was a member of the Orrville Church of Christ. She loved gardening and was an avid reader. Mae also thoroughly loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving is her husband, Ronald E. Shiflett of 61 years, whom she married in 1954 six children, Linda Schaffter of Burbank, OH, Diana Blough and her husband Kevin, Wooster, OH., Robert Shiflett of Los Angeles, CA., Michael Shiflett and his wife Marsha, Orrville, OH., Jacqueline Stowers, Orrville, OH., and Debra Little of Creston, OH; 2 siblings, Harold Ware and Newton Ware; and ten Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Joy Ware, Robert Ware, Ray Alan Ware and her son in law Lloyd Schaffter (Cork).
